Scrolling around Firefox on Ubuntu using arrow-keys and space bars is constantly erratic. I tried removing profiles and upgrading but the problem was there for over eight months. (I didn't have problem with various Firefox versions built from pkgsrc though.) I searched a few times in the past but never found a solution. So I searched again and now found many webpages about "caret browsing" which can be toggled with F7 function key. This makes it so cursors can be used to select content. Disabling it fixed by scrolling problems.
