Sendmail bounced my attempts out with:

dsn=5.1.2,
stat=Host unknown (Name server: pilchuck.reedmedia.net: no data known)

DNS worked fine. And running:

echo "/mx reedmedia.net" | sendmail -bt -d8.8

worked fine. I realized the problem was that the networking was not setup when sendmail was started. So stopping and restarting sendmail fixed this issue and sendmail could mail out.

Use kappfinder (from kdebase3) to find some applications and add to KDE menu.
