Installed www/phoenix-linux via pkgsrc. It says to set net.inet6.ip6.v6only = 0 (if INET6 is enabled in kernel). The ip6(4) man page says this is so the IPv6 will accept IPv4 traffic too (if I understand correctly).

I installed Flash by downloading install_flash_player_6_linux tar ball from macromedia and copied the libflashplayer.so and flashplayer.xpt files to the /usr/pkg/lib/phoenix-linux/plugins/ directory. And I moved lib/phoenix-linux/components/xpti.dat file, because I saw that the installer does that and it said it is auto generated. I didn't see it created yet though. (This flash worked at Yahoo, Disney and pbskids.org.)

Later installed sun-jre13-1.0.2nb1 for java support in browser. **need to write about -- is in my notes.
