Needed ncurses development headers for Linux kernel's "make menuconfig". Under Debian, did "apt-get install libncurses-dev", but received:

Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
libncurses5-dev: Depends: libncurses5 (= 5.2.20020112a-7) but 5.2.20020112a-8
is to be installed

I had to manually download libncurses5_5.2.20020112a-7_i386.deb and install it (and the current version was replaced). And then manually downloaded and installed libncurses5-dev_5.2.20020112a-7_i386.deb.

A few hours later had same problem on different box with libssl-dev (?) package and had to manually retrieve and install the dependency first.
