slrn-0.9.7.4 blindly overwrites ~/.article when composing new posting. I suggested to maintainer to use mkstemp(3). He later replied: "If you prefer slrn to use a temporary file instead of .article in this situation, set "use_tmpdir" to 1 in your slrnrc file." (By default, I believe this uses /tmp and probably same filename -- so not good enough.)
