It took over 11 minutes to unpack pkgsrc.tar.gz on a RAIDed drive.

For some reason, "make bin-install" isn't working on this system correctly. It ends with "pkg_add: can't find package 'exim-3.34.tgz'" instead of continuing with "Installing from source". This worked with bsd.pkg.mk 1.928, but didn't work with bsd.pkg.mk 1.943. (See 15/Mar/2002)

The pkgsrc tarfile contains CVS support files, but:

# time cvs update -A -d -P 2>&1 | tee LOG
anoncvs.netbsd.org: Connection refused
(See 15/Mar/2002)

On my workstation server, it took over 87 minutes to do a "cvs update -A -d -P" under /usr/pkgsrc.
