A 1.4.2 system with an uptime of 227+ days was rebooted. (Someone else's faulty web log rotation script stopped apache, but didn't check to see if it was restarted correctly. So someone else, not knowing what to do, simply powered-off and on the machine.)

Anyways, (as noted above on 21/Nov/2001) the new pkg of openssh had a different startup script, so it never started at boot. The old version checked for /usr/pkg/etc/rc.d/sshd.sh and the new one is /usr/pkg/etc/rc.d/sshd. So now the rc.local simply runs /usr/pkg/sbin/sshd.
