Yesterday, a sourceforge mail server delayed a mail from me:
host mail.sourceforge.net [66.35.250.206]: 451-Envelope sender verification
failed
451 rejected: temporarily unable to verify envelope sender address (try
again later) <reed@reedmedia.net>
Doing some research, I saw that one of my NS records in DNS (and whois) used a host named "ns2" (not one of my domains) that was now gone. This doesn't seem like this should have mattered -- because the other two nameservers were working fine.

So I fixed the NS record for my own host to point to a different nameserver. Then I changed NS records via registrar too -- this took a few minutes because I had two log into multiple accounts.

Later, I ran exim with debugging and saw it was delaying at "checking RBL domain spews.relays.osirusoft.com". So probably sourceforge's callbacks were timing out. So I removed the osirusoft.com dnsbl from my exim configs.
