Continued to have errors with PAM as seen on Oct. 11. This time with vm-pop3d. I reinstalled PAM and all was well.

FreeBSD 5.0 kernel config failed when building 5.1 kernel. It needed new "options SCHED_4BSD" (which was the old method) or "options SCHED_ULE" (which is a new experimental scheduler).
