Send-pr'd my idea to have an option for the MESSAGE (+DISPLAY) to be mailed at package install time. send-pr: pkg/22328: option to mail MESSAGE (+DISPLAY) at install time. (agc added the PKGSRC_MAIL_RECIPIENTS definition, based on this code; closed on 08/Aug/2003. **pkg_add still needs to be done.)
