A posting to tech-security asked about recent gzip issues: http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/7845 and http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/7872 . One was same as my PR security/21819 (of 07/Jun/2003). I sent an addition to gnats for that PR: NetBSD's gzexe shell script also has unsafe tmp creation: tmp=gz$$ (This PR was closed later that day.)
