Upgraded ("tar xvzpf ... -C /") to September 12th 1.5-alpha snapshot of kern, base and man. When rebooted, it forced me to a shell prompt as root. I ran /etc/rc and then installed etc.tgz. Had to remount and reinstall my old etc.
