The two volume NetBSD System Manager's Manual set includes 620 manuals covering a wide variety of NetBSD system operation and maintenance tasks and commands. Volume 1 contains ac(8) through multiboot(8) and volume two includes named(8) through zpool(8). Additionally a small selection of section 1 manuals that cover system maintenance procedures and commands are also included. The first volume provides a long permuted index for finding manual pages using a keyword-in-context listing.
Historically, the System Manager's Manual (SMM) also included other system installation and administration documentation (in addition to the manual pages). This printing does not include that unmaintained documentation which has been mostly out-of-date since 4.4BSD in 1993 and covers some software and features that are no longer included with NetBSD. (See http://www.netbsd.org/docs/bsd/lite2/smm.html.)
